Member of the Legislative Council for the Mining and Pastoral Region
Jacqui was elected into the Legislative Council in the Mining and Pastoral Region in March 2013. Born and raised in Carnarvon, Jacqui has been a life-long supporter of regional Western Australia.
Jacqui served as the Parliamentary Nationals Party’s executive officer from 2009. She has held key positions in the Party, including policy director and State Executive member, and was appointed as State Director of the Nationals WA in 2010.
Within the Nationals WA team, Jacqui is responsible for portfolios including education, Aboriginal affairs, culture and the arts, mental health, child protection, housing, heritage, disability services and women’s interests.
Jacqui is passionate about developing northern Australia and believes a range of opportunities exist in building the region’s investment profile internationally; fostering mutually beneficial long-term trade agreements and finally; by facilitating a modern trade and investment framework to expand, diversify and grow business and industries in the region.
